Two very exciting finals.
Nine clubs are taking part in the Clyde Coast Winter Championships which will take place on Saturday 1 October at the Citadel Ayr.
There are three places left if anybody is interested in taking part.
The Scottish Club Championships were held in the RCP on June 18th three clubs from the West had entries. Well done to Clydebank who retained the Mary Black Rosebowl, Grangemouth who were 5th and North Ayrshire who we 6th. It was a great day, with lots of girls experiencing their first National competition in a superb venue.
After a great performance at Rio, the National Synchro Committee is looking to bring up Team GB Duet Katie Clark and Olivia Federici for a masterclass display and presentation on their Olympic journey. Dates have still to be confirmed but watch this space for an exciting opportunity.
The next skills day is Sunday 11th September in Bo’ness, good luck to all swimmers participating.
The next competition is the Scottish Nationals and Age Groups in Drumchapel on 29th and 30th October, hope to see some of you there!
Synchronised Swimming Convenor
For the first time the coaches took the team done a day early to compete in the Lincoln Vulcans meet at Sheffield. This must have done the trick as the team won Division 2 by a huge margin and it was very exciting sitting on poolside watching. They all swam brilliantly, with some of the swims posting times which would have won the Division 1 races. They all behaved impeccably throughout the weekend and were a credit to themselves, their families and their clubs. Big thanks to coaches Scott, Craig and Danielle and team manager Linzi who made the weekend a great success. Thanks also to Jean King and Alison Finlayson for their help.
